Hearty Crockpot Cabbage Beef Chili Soup

  • 1 lb ground beef (lean)
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cups cabbage, chopped
  • 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (15 ounces) stewed tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 ounces) red kidney beans, undrained
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  1. Cook ground beef and onion in a pan over medium high heat until beef is browned and crumbled. Drain fat and transfer beef to a slow cooker.
  2. Add cabbage, kidney beans, tomato sauce, tomatoes, bouillon, cumin, salt and pepper. Stir and cover.
  3. Cook on high setting for 4 hours, or on low setting for 6 to 8 hours.
  4. Stir occasionally and add water as desired to maintain the consistency you desire.
