May 2009 Campout
Little Camas Reservoir
Our May campout was at Fort Running Bear Resort located at Little Camas Reservoir
The campground is located at Little Camas Reservoir. It has a very nice dining room that we also used for games. There is also a library and a billiards room. The swimming pool was not ready for the season. They also have miniature golf, but the weather didn't cooperate for us.
It was raining when we arrived. The road in was a bit muddy as Bob and Judy can attest.
It is a nice campground.
While John worked under Bob and Judy's rig he had a bunch of moral supporters.
The water level was low but the reservoir was pretty.
There was still plenty of snow in the mountains.
The Castle Rock area is eight miles from the campground.
Anderson Dam is also nearby.
The area is a photographer's dream.
