Our May campout was at Farewell Bend State Park in Oregon.
The theme of the park is the history of the Oregon Trail.
The views of the Snake River are beautiful.
Both looking downstream and upstream. Note the fishing dock near the park headquarters.
Fishing is a favorite pastime for campers.
There is a very nice boat launch right beside the park headquarters building.
Norm cooked a pancake breakfast for all comers.
We got off to a good start for this day.
So naturally fishing was on the agenda.
But I have to admit that it was more interesting watching the cows come home.
Actually, we were camped right beside a working ranch. It was very interesting for some of us to watch the calves being rounded up for branding and shots.
Finally that evening we gathered around Jan's campfire to swap stories about all the fish we caught... on other trips.
