July 2009 Campout
Cascade Idaho
Charlie and Linda were Asst. Wagonmasters for our July campout in Cascade. We enjoyed a variety of activities including fishing and swimming in the nearby hot spring.
The Water's Edge RV Resort was a very nice place to stay. It is right on the Payette River and close to the boat ramp on the lake. It is a family oriented campground, providing free use of kayaks among other things.
We attended a free country music concert in Roseberry.
We had dinner at the senior center in McCall.
Charlie took us to a little known garden near McCall that everyone enjoyed.
On the way back Larry spotted Ron and Roberta's cabin overlooking McCall and the lake.
This B-17 was visiting McCall. Later we watched it fly back to Nampa while we were fishing on Lake Cascade.
Back at the ranch, we had pot-luck in the gazebo, after which Charlie quizzed us on the history of this region of Idaho.
